Mangano Announces “We Will Survive” Strong Island Music Festival Featuring Gloria Gaynor
East Meadow, NY - October 2nd, 2013 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced Gloria Gaynor will be performing at Eisenhower Park’s Lakeside Theatre as part of the “We Will Survive” Strong Island Music Festival on Saturday, October 19th. The festival will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Gloria Gaynor taking the stage at 6:00 p.m. The performances throughout the festival will take place on three different stages, located around Eisenhower Park’s parking field 6 and 6a. Admission is free.
The “We Will Survive” Strong Island Music Festival lineup is as follows:
Country Stage:
- 12:30 p.m. – Rattlesnake Dawn
- 2:00 p.m. – Southbound
Rock Stage:
- 1:15 p.m. – Minute by Minute
- 2:45 p.m. – Wonderous Stories
Lakeside Theatre:
- 3:30 p.m. – Funk Filharmonik
- 4:45 p.m. – That 70’s Band
- 6:00 p.m. – Gloria Gaynor
The “We Will Survive” Strong Island Music Festival, presented by New York Music & Events Group, will also include a Long Island historical interactive area featuring several Long Island historical societies and Museums, craft and gift show. A portion of the corporate proceeds will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Nassau County Hurricane Sandy Relief, and the Nassau County Police Fallen Officers – Widows and Orphans Fund.
