AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cigarettes from a gas station in Ronkonkoma.

Ronkonkoma, NY - October 3rd, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cigarettes from a gas station in Ronkonkoma.

A man entered the Sunoco gas station, located at 885 Johnson Ave.,on August 10 at 11:30 p.m., and stole a carton of Newport cigarettes from the counter. The attendant followed the suspect to his car and reached inside the vehicle. The suspect drove away with the attendant hanging out the window for approximately 60 feet.

The suspect is described as five feet ten inches tall and approximately 240 pounds. The vehicle he fled in is described as a dark colored sedan.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash rewardof up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
