Officials: Five Arrests Made After Suspects Steal Multiple Cell Phones from Cedarhurst Verizon Store

According to Detectives, five individuals entered a Verizon and removed items from shelves while a sixth distracted the victim, police say.

NCPD reports the arrest of five individuals for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, October 3, in Cedarhurst.

Cedarhurst, NY - October 4, 2017 - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of five (5) individuals for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 4:02 p.m. in Cedarhurst.
 
According to Detectives, five individuals entered a Verizon Store on Central Avenue and removed items from shelves while a sixth distracted the victim, who is an employee at the store. All subjects then exited the store without paying for the items. When confronted by the victim, one of the subjects picked up a metal pole and threatened him. After the victim called 911 the police arrived and arrested five of the six subjects. Three of the defendants are 14 and 15 year old juveniles.
 
The defendants are:
 
  • Suarez Sancho, 18, of Brooklyn. She is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree.
  • Miracle Mann, 16, of Brooklyn. She is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th Degree. 
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing. 
 
The above defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at First District Court at 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
