The Tryout is a reality TV series that revolves around finding the next best baseball talent to give those selected an opportunity for exposure and equip them with resources to excel in their path to major league exposure. 

The Tryout, a six-episode series, will be looking for talented baseball players whose dreams of professional baseball have yet to come true.  Selected candidates will have the opportunity to try out in front of some of the biggest and most influential names in professional baseball and showcase their talent in front of a national television audience. 

The first round of open tryouts will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 7am – 1pm in the New York area. All candidates are required to apply only at www.thetryout.com. The selected contestants will be invited to try out in person with location and time details. Judges will be looking for top prospects on hitting, fielding, running and pitching.

The judges include Juan Alvarez (Former MLB Player & Chicago White Sox Scouting Supervisor), Jeff Dearrdorff (NY Yankees Scout), Matt Hyde (NY Yankees Scout), Lou Bernardi (USMMA Baseball Assistant Coach, New York State Baseball Hall of Famer), Dom Scala (Former NY Yankee World Champion) and Ike Goldstein (Former MLB Player).

The host of The Tryout is Gracie Cashman. 

The selected candidates on Oct 15th will be notified again to try out for the Finals in November. Billy Martin, Jr. will be among the different group of judges appearing at the Finals.
