AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Man Wanted for Stealing Cash from Ridge Store

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Seventh Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cash from a store in Ridge in September.

Ridge, NY - October 8th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Seventh Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole cash from a store in Ridge in September.

A man entered CMI Contractors, located at 1760 Middle Country Road at approximately 9:40 a.m. on September 12, went behind a desk and stole money from the cash register.

The man is described as black, approximately 35 years old, bald, clean-shaven. He was wearing a black shirt with a large light colored design on the front, and blue jeans.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
