Wyandanch, NY - October 9, 2017 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was critically injured in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
 
First Precinct Officers responded to a call of shots fired on North 26th Street in Wyandanch at approximately 1:40 a.m. A short time later, an 18-year-old male was found at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim, who was self-transported to the hospital, is in critical condition.
 
First Detectives are investigating if the two incidents are connected.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
