The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of Oceanside man for a Burglary that occurred on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:41 am in Lakeview.
According to Detectives, defendant John Masone, 55, of 2899 Rugby Road, walked up to the front entrance of an Exxon Gas Station located at 820 Hempstead Avenue and attempted to gain entry. A 51-year-old male employee inside notified him that the building was closed.
Defendant John Masone became agitated and broke the front door and entered. A physical altercation occurred in which the male employee sustained minor injuries. Police were dispatched to scene and arrested defendant John Masone without further incident. The male victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Defendant John Masone is charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Assault 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief. He will be arraigned on Monday, October 9, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
