NCPD: Two Arrested on Firearm, Drug Charges During Inwood Traffic Stop

Defendants Alonzo Loyola of Valley Stream, 21, and Pia Califano of Levittown, 19, are charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for an incident that occurred on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 11:27 pm in Inwood.
 
According to Detectives, Fourth Precinct officers while on patrol observed a 2011 Infiniti with excessive tinted windows traveling eastbound on Burnside Avenue. Officers activated their emergency lights and initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop at Burnside Avenue and Nassau Expressway. 
 
After a thorough investigation a loaded Firearm and one pill believed to be Oxycodone Hydrochloride were recovered from the vehicle. Defendants Alonzo Loyola, 21, of 94 East Valley Stream Boulevard, Valley Stream and Pia Califano, 19, of 3936 Miller Place, Levittown were placed into police custody without further incident.
 
 
Both defendants are charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. 
 
Defendant Califano was also issued numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
