Police: Man Shoved Islandia Walmart Employee While Fleeing with Stolen Goods

Islandia, NY - October 12, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from a store in Islandia last month.
 
A man entered Wal-Mart, located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway on September 28, at 2:20 p.m. and stole assorted clothing by placing them inside a backpack. When approached by a store employee, the man shoved him in the chest and fled the store. The man is described as black with a thin build.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
