New York Lottery officials announced on Thursday that three lucky Long Islanders had purchased winning third-prize Powerball tickets, with each one worth a cool $50,000.
All three tickets were sold in Nassau County, with the winners being selected during Wednesday night's drawing.
The three tickets were sold at the 7-Eleven at 2259 Jerusalem Avenue in Bellmore; Bar Jay Cards at 3 Northwest Drive in Farmingdale; and Mineola Smoke & Card Corporation at 428 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, the New York Lottery announced that the following three stores in Nassau County sold third-prize-winning tickets for the Powerball drawing occurring the night before:
Wednesday's Powerball drawing was especially notable for the fact that a total of 14 winning $50,000 tickets throughout New York State were declared that evening.
