The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will host their annual Fan Fest event to celebrate the upcoming NBA G League season.
The community initiative will take place this Saturday, Oct. 15, at Nassau Police Center for Training and Intelligence at 1 Law Enforcement Way, Garden City, NY, and will feature a Q&A session with LI Nets basketball operations staff for Long Island’s season ticket members.
There will also be a free youth basketball clinic where 60 children will be taught about sports safety by Long Island Nets Basketball Academy clinicians, as well as an appearance by LI Nets mascot, Dale the Eagle.
The Long Island Nets Basketball Academy Clinic will take place at 11:00 a.m., while the Q&A with LI Nets basketball operations staff will take place at 12:30 p.m.
Children participating in the youth clinic are part of Nassau County Police Activity League, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing juvenile delinquency that aids development of good citizenship through positive interaction of youth and police officers.
