One of the most popularly requested items by food banks is peanut butter. It’s kid-friendly, shelf-stable and protein-rich. Of course, what’s peanut butter without jelly - it’s like, well, you know.

In August of this year, the Town of Babylon collected almost 600 jars of peanut butter and jelly to be donated to the town’s food pantry.

“A special thanks to all from throughout our community who helped spread kindness by sending or dropping donations off to Town Hall,” the Town said in a press release.

The Town of Babylon food pantry accepts items year round and is located at 1 Commerce Boulevard in Amityville. Most needed items include: peanut butter, jelly, tuna, canned vegetables, soup, pasta, sauce, rice and beans.
