Nightmare Gallery: Part Haunted House, Part Art Gallery, Total Terror for a Good Cause
Hauppauge, NY - October 16, 2015 - Haunted attractions all seem the same at first glance, but one stands out above the rest. A haunt that makes it a point to be different and does a great job of doing it and that haunt is Chamber of Horrors NY.
Chamber of Horrors NY was just voted as Long Island’s scariest haunted house by News 12 Long Island, but beyond how well they scare, we need to focus on how much they care about their community and the people within it.
Chamber of Horrors NY has created an event to showcase local NY artists and they’re calling it Nightmare Gallery. A one night event on October 22nd and the concept behind it is simple, unique and interactive. Chamber has invited 50 or so NY artists to showcase their work within two of their attractions in Chamber’s Trilogy of Fear show. Walls will be adorned with paintings, drawings, rooms filled with sculptures and video work from varying artists. As you’re walking through, you’ll be able to interact with scare actors and maybe even get a few spine tingling jumps while you’re at it.
Chamber of Horrors NY is also giving back with this event, it has become a benefit for one the participating artists, Jay Chicarelli whose wife sadly passed away recently. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Chicarelli family. There is a GOFundMe also set up for donations for Jay and his family.
“It’s sad and unfortunate and we’re going to do everything we can to help his family. Anyone who works with and for Chamber of Horrors NY, we consider to be part of our family and we’ll do what can for Jay and his” said Matt Guiliano co-owner of Chamber of Horrors NY.
Nightmare Gallery is being curated by local artists David Graham and Heather Tinneny.
“This is what makes Chamber of Horrors NY great, they allow for new features and events to happen and they firmly believe in giving back to people” said David Graham, Nightmare Gallery Curator.
“It is wonderful that we’re helping out the art community here on Long Island and in such a unique way and venue too.” Said Heather Tinneny, Nightmare Gallery Curator
With a show that promises to promote local artists, give back to a family in need, scare and even entertain you, this will be too scary to miss.
Nightmare Gallery is a one night event on October 22nd. The show is located inside Chamber of Horrors NY at Matt Guiliano’s Play Like a Pro in Hauppauge, at 1745 Express Drive North, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
