One Long Islander is nearly $20,000 richer after purchasing a winning TAKE 5 ticket at a Westhampton convenience Store, according to New York State Lottery officials.

The ticket, which awarded its bearer the first price amount of $19,752, was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 410 Mill Road in time for the drawing on Saturday, October 14.

New York State Lottery winners are able to claim their prize money within one year of hitting the numbers during the drawing.
