Global apparel retailer UNIQLO will open two new stores on October 20, both located in Long Island, New York, as the brand continues its expansion in the U.S. The two new locations will be at Walt Whitman Shops, located in South Huntington, occupying approximately 8,780 square feet, and Green Acres in South Valley Stream, at approximately 9,700 square feet.
The new stores will carry UNIQLO’s full line of apparel called LifeWear - simple, high- quality, everyday clothing, thoughtfully made with life’s needs in mind and always evolving to modern life. Local community support, special product offers, and festive activities rooted in UNIQLO’s Japanese heritage are planned for an exciting Grand Opening Weekend October 20-22.
The new stores build upon UNIQLO’s presence on the east coast, and will mark UNIQLO’s second and third locations in Long Island, with an existing store at Roosevelt Field. Walt Whitman Shops and Green Acres are the latest of several new openings for the brand across the United States and Canada, continuing its expansion plan in North America of opening new stores in key regions.
“We are incredibly excited to open two new stores in Long Island and expand our presence in New York, a place we have called home since 2006,” said UNIQLO USA CEO Yoshihide Shindo. “Our aim is to help make everyday life better through high-quality, essential clothing that is designed for anyone, anywhere, and we look forward to serving even more of the Long Island community at Walt Whitman Shops and Green Acres on October 20.”
