Suffolk County, NY - October 19, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating six robberies that occurred at Suffolk County businesses during the past month.
During each robbery, a woman entered, displayed a knife, received cash and fled on foot. In some instances, the woman made a purchase. The robberies occurred at the following locations:
- Family Dollar, located at 349 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on September 23 at 9:50 p.m.
- Family Dollar, located at 222 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, on September 29 at approximately 10 p.m.
- Carvel, located at 400 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on October 13 at 9:55 p.m.
- Carvel, located at 400 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, on October 14 at approximately 10 p.m.
- Dunkin Donuts, located at 500-11 Medford Ave. in Patchogue, on October 16 at 10:33 p.m.
- Dollar Tree, located at 3235 Horseblock Road in Medford, on October 17 at 9:43 p.m.
The woman was described as white or Hispanic, in her late 20s to early 30s wearing dark pants and a dark shirt.

"The Suffolk County Police Department is taking all appropriate measures to make sure that this perpetrator is arrested as soon as possible and that no further robberies occur," Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini said. "This remains an active investigation and we are asking the public for assistance, but rest assured the Suffolk County Police Department will catch this suspect."
