Armed Man Robs Huntington Cell Phone Store, According to Authorities

Huntington, NY - October 19, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a store in Huntington on Thursday, October 18.
 
A man entered MetroPCS, located at 1669 New York Avenue at approximately 7:15 p.m., displayed what appeared to be a black handgun and demanded cash and cellphones from an employee. The suspect stole cash, six cell phones from the store and an employee’s Apple iPhone XS. The robber fled northbound on New York Avenue, and then westbound on West 11th Street.
 
The man is described as white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall and thin. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded-sweatshirt with a red circular design on the back, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers.
