William Floyd Blood Drive Collects Much Needed Donations
Mastic Beach, NY - October 21st, 2014 - More than 75 students and staff at William Floyd High School recently donated blood at the semi-annual blood drive to help replenish local blood banks. This drive was held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and each person that donated received a New York Blood Center pink postcard to dedicate to an individual who has been affected by breast cancer or in honor of breast cancer warriors and survivors.
“It was a great turnout and I thank everyone who came out to give the gift of life,” said Jacquelyn O’Donnell, RN, Lead Nurse, William Floyd School District.
