Huntington Arts Council Presents Nightmare on Main Street Student Art Exhibit Oct. 27 - Nov. 5, 2016
Huntington, NY - October 21, 2016 - The Huntington Arts Council is proud to announce Nightmare on Main, a Halloween inspired student art show, Juror Caitlyn Shea. The exhibit is on display from October 27, through November 5, 2016.
Congratulations to those students who where accepted into the show:
Juror Caitlyn Shea loves all things scary, sinewy, and dark -- and has a special love for Francis Bacon paintings. She is a visual artist specializing in large, fierce paintings. While her palette explores upbeat color interactions, the loosely drawn, often chaotic figures leave a lasting impression of the sublime. Shea continues to exhibit her work in galleries across the U.S. and has received multiple stipends to create public works that bring moments of wonder in N.Y. and beyond. When she is not painting, Shea works as a co-producer for East End Arts JumpstART program and enjoys seeking out odd animals and insects as inspiration for new work.
Saturday Noon to 4pm
