Uniondale, NY - October 21, 2016 - PSEG Long Island is proud to host its Annual 2016 Energy Efficient Long Island Conference for businesses and customers on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This innovative conference brings together PSEG Long Island’s business owners and residential and commercial developers with the country’s leading energy efficiency experts and service providers.
PSEG Long Island is committed to working with business customers to implement energy solutions that help companies thrive on Long Island. This conference will give large and small businesses the opportunity to learn how to save energy and money with PSEG Long Island rebates and incentives, while interacting with PSEG Long Island’s energy efficiency staff and other industry professionals and energy experts.
“This program is a must-attend event for all business and building owners and corporate decision makers,” explained Michael Voltz, director of energy efficiency and renewables, PSEG Long Island. “All attendees will learn invaluable approaches and cost-saving strategies for decreasing energy usage within their organizations.”
PSEG Long Island, for the first time, will host an “Industry Innovators Panel” during lunch, where top players involved with the Amneal Pharmaceuticals project, one of Long Island’s largest projected energy savings projects in the history of the efficiency program, will talk about corporate responsibility, sustainable building, productivity, annual savings, and barriers to creating an efficient facility. Breakout sessions will also occur throughout the day, and cover topics such as co-generation, Building Management Systems (BMS), green industry careers, solar power, the future of efficient lighting, home energy management systems, and many other trending topics in the energy industry.
In addition to information about energy efficiency and how to help reduce the impact on the environment, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a marketing boot-camp, “Package and Pitch your Company,” where they will learn best practices and exclusive tips on sales, marketing, and follow-up from experts in the finance and communications industries.
Independent annual evaluations by Opinion Dynamics Corporation have found PSEG Long Island’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Programs generate energy savings that are cost-effective. In its evaluation for 2015, Opinion Dynamics found that PSEG Long Island’s Residential and Commercial Efficiency Programs had a benefit/cost ratio of 2.2, which means that the programs generated $2.20 in benefits to the utility and its customers for every $1.00 in costs to operate the program, including rebates.
