Westbury, NY - October 202nd, 2014 - The Major Case Bureau, Special Victim’s Squad is investigating a Sex Offense that occurred in Westbury on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 12:40 am.
According to detectives, a 22 year old female victim was walking north on Post Avenue in the vicinity of Maple Avenue when she was approached by an unknown male subject that grabbed her from behind causing her to fall to the ground. The subject then attempted to sexually assault her. An unidentified male witness intervened and caused the subject to flee on foot eastbound Maple Avenue. The victim suffered a minor laceration to her ear. She refused medical attention at the scene.
The subject is described as Hispanic, medium build, facial hair,40-50 years of age, blue jeans, brown boots, black hooded jacket.
