Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who struck a female pedestrian in East Islip earlier this month.

East Islip, NY - October 202nd, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who struck a female pedestrian in East Islip earlier this month.

Xiu Chi was crossing West Main Street, just west of Carleton Avenue, when she was struck by a vehicle on October 12 at approximately 8:35 p.m. Chi, 47, of East Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries.

The vehicle fled west on West Main Street. The vehicle is described as possibly a small, dark-colored SUV or crossover.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
