The presenter will be Giokazta Molina-Schneider, director of Education of Planned Parenthood of Nassau County.

Sexuality is an essential lifelong aspect of being human. Negative messages about sex can discourage us from understanding sex as a natural, healthy and positive experience and prevent families from talking openly about sex and sexuality.

This workshop was developed by Planned Parenthood to teach parents, grandparents and caregivers with children of all ages. Concepts like how to answer a question posed by a young person and making use of teachable moments, as well as exploring personal family values around sexuality will be discussed. Always remember - talking about sex doesn't give kids permission to engage in sexual activity, instead, family communication empowers young people to make safe and healthy decisions.
