One Long Islander is now over $30,000 richer after hitting it big with a winning Take 5 lottery ticket.

The ticket, worth a cool $33,551, represents the top prize from the lottery drawing held on Monday evening, October 23.

The lucky winner purchased the Take 5 ticket at Yasmin Cards & Gifts located at 897 Montauk Highway in Oakdale, according to officials from the New York Lottery. The winner has one full year to claim their prize from the date of the drawing.
