With one location in New Jersey and another heading to Floral Park soon (others are planned for Pennsylvania), Kinya Ramen & Bar recently opened in the Broadway Mall in Hicksville, the first on Long Island.
The ramen menu includes specialities like their Kinya Ramen, pork broth with black garlic oil flavor, topped with fish cake, chopped scallions, ginger, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, a seasoned boiled egg and 24k gold ($18) or the Tan Tan Ramen, mild spicy miso and chicken broth soup with sesame paste, topped with minced pork, bean sprouts, chopped scallions and a seasoned boiled egg ($16).
On Yelp, Jenny C, from Jericho, said she found Kinya Ramen on Yelp and “couldn't have been more excited.”
“We ordered takeout here last night and I was pretty impressed,” she wrote. “I had the combo with the Kinya ramen and takoyaki balls. My husband ordered the spicy ramen with soy garlic wings. Each combo costs $22. Everything was packaged very well… Overall I'm very happy to have Kinya Ramen in the neighborhood. Love that they are open late into the night. I wish them well so I can come by whenever I crave ramen and don't want to travel far.”
David L, from Westbury, gave it five stars.
“Tried this new place at Broadway Mall, the folks were nice and the restaurant was clean and hip,” he said. “The tonkotsu was our favorite. Our waitress, Vanessa did great!”
