Long Beach, NY - October 27, 2016 - EAC Network’s Senior Respite program hosted its official launch of in-home caregiver services in Long Beach on Tuesday, October 25th at Brixx & Barley Restaurant. Senior Respite provides companions to Nassau County residents caring for an elderly relative in their home.
The launch, sponsored by Aetna, attracted Long Beach caregivers, professionals in the elder care industry, and local politicians such as Long Beach City Council Member Anissa Moore. Attendees shared their experiences as caregivers and supplied invaluable resources to others struggling to receive adequate care for their loved ones.
In addition to in-home caregiver services, Senior Respite also announced its popular Helen’s Memory Café program, where caregivers and seniors experiencing memory loss are able to mingle and have fun, will start in Long Beach in November.
“Long Beach has welcomed us with open arms and we are so excited that Senior Respite can provide resident caregivers with some relief,” said Lance W. Elder, President & CEO, EAC Network.
