North Bellmore, NY - October 28, 2016 - A North Bellmore couple were traveling westbound on the Southern State Parkway on 10/28/16 at about 6:45 AM, attempting to go to North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital for the birth of their child. The driver, Judd Jaworoski, was forced to pull over because the mother, Jessica Brooks, was having contractions and appeared to be close to giving birth.
Mr. Jaworoski stopped near the Meadowbrook Road exit, and a short time after, helped deliver his own baby. Mr. Jaworowski then called 911 and advised the State Police of the situation.
When troopers arrived on the scene, mother and newborn daughter were doing fine. The family was transported to North Shore LIJ by ambulance.
