The Sixth Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 3:30 am in Great Neck.
According to detectives, a 42-year-old male and a 38-year-old female were sleeping in their West End Drive residence and were woken up after another 69-year-old male resident sleeping heard a noise and observed three unknown male subjects run out of the house using the rear entrance. Sixth Precinct police were later called and responded.
An investigation determined that one male subject did enter the residence through an unlocked first floor bathroom window. The subject entered and then allowed the other two to enter the home via a rear sliding glass door.
Once inside the subjects were going into several rooms and looking through drawers and cabinets. All three subjects then fled out the back door and were observed entering into a light gray Jeep Cherokee SUV that fled west on West End Drive towards Northern Boulevard.
A handbag that contained assorted credit cards and undetermined amount of US currency was missing from the living room along with a laptop computer.
The subjects are described as being male, unknown race wearing dark pants, and dark hooded sweatshirts. The investigation is ongoing.
