Cops: Port Jefferson Party Host Arrested After Two Underage Males Become Ill from Alcohol Consumption

SCPD arrested Robert Egan of Bay Shore, 22, after two 20-year-olds required medical attention for excessive alcohol consumption at a party he was hosting.

Long Island, NY - October 30, 2017 - Suffolk County Police on Sunday, October 29 arrested a man for hosting a party in Port Jefferson after two 20-year-olds required medical attention for excessive alcohol consumption.
 
Sixth Precinct Patrol officers responded to a complaint of a loud party at a residence on High St. at approximately 1:40 a.m. There were approximately 100 people in attendance, many of whom were underage. Two 20-year-old males had become ill from alcohol consumption, and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Police arrested and charged the host, Robert Egan, 22, of Bay Shore, with violating the Social Host Law. He was transported to the Sixth Precinct where he was released on bail. Egan is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 9, 2018. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
