AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. SCPD arrested Frank Trapani, 38, for robbing a Patchogue store.

Patchogue, NY - October 30, 2018 - Suffolk County Police on Monday, October 29 arrested a man for robbing a store in Patchogue.
 
Frank Trapani entered GNC, located at 499 Sunrise Highway in Patchogue on October 20, at approximately 6:30 p.m., threatened the clerk and demanded cash. The clerk complied and Trapani fled.
 
Following an investigation by Fifth Squad detectives, Trapani, 38, who is undomiciled, was arrested and charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest.
 
Trapani will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 30.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
