Lawrence Gorcery Store Employee Arrested for Calling in Bomb Threat to Get Out of Work

The Fourth Squad reports the details of an arrest of a Manhattan woman for Falsely Reporting an Incident that occurred on October 29, 2014 at 8:20 p.m. in Lawrence.

Lawrence, NY - October 31st, 2014 - The Fourth Squad reports the details of an arrest of a Manhattan woman for Falsely Reporting an Incident that occurred on October 29, 2014 at 8:20 p.m. in Lawrence.

According to Detectives, the defendant Kristal Huff-Rivers, 20, of South Street called Barch’s Supermarket located at 11 Lawrence Lane, Lawrence in which she is employed and proceeded to say “There’s a bomb in the building, evacuate” three times.  The defendant while in the break room during a conversation with another employee stated she had called the store.  The defendant was placed in custody without incident.

Huff-Rivers  was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident 1st Degree and was arraigned on October 30, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
