Suffolk Police Issue Alert for Missing Copiague Woman Suffering from Dementia

Copiague, NY - November 1, 2018 - Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Copiague woman who suffers from early onset dementia. 
 
Barbara Washington, 77, was last seen on October 25 wearing a black turtleneck, red sweater jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. She is believed to be on foot, possibly walking in the Amityville or the eastern Massapequa area. Washington is black, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 90 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
 
Anyone with information on Washington’s location is asked to call 911 or the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
