From the people who brought Verde Kitchen & Cocktails to Bay Shore comes Bakuto, a new Japanese restaurant 121 North Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. The restaurant opened its door on Wednesday, October 30th.

The izakaya-style restaurant will serve ramen, udon, steamed buns, robatayaki, and various crudo dishes and is said to have the vibe of a Japanese pub or drinking house. Izakaya is translated as “stay sake shop,” a place to hang out and drink on premises.

Although it’s billed as a tavern-like establishment, they haven’t received a liquor license as of yet so drinks are BYOB for the time being.

It is reported that the owners brought a robata grill from Japan for charcoal and wood-fueled cooking. Location: 121 N Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, (631) 225-1760.
