Cedarhurst, NY - November 2, 2018 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a vehicular accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 5:30 pm in Cedarhurst.
 
According to detectives, after stepping out of Wok Tov, 594 Central Avenue and onto the sidewalk in front of that business, the victim, a 54 year old male, was struck by a green electric motorized scooter that was being operated by a male white driver and accompanied by a male white rear seat passenger. After the collision both driver and passenger, who fell off the scooter, walked away without identifying themselves.
 
The victim, who suffered a serious leg injury, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. He further described the driver as being 15-17 years old and the passenger as being 10-13 years old. Both were wearing white shirts, black pants and yarmulkes on their heads.
