AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Duo Wanted for Uniondale Break In Burglary

Uniondale, NY - November 4th, 2014 - The First Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred in Uniondale on Monday, November 03, 2014 at 10:52 am.

According to detectives, a 31 year old male victim was in his Park Avenue basement bedroom apartment when two unknown male subjects pried open the basement door and approached the victim. Subject two displayed a black handgun at the victim at which time the victim was able to slam the door closed. Both subjects then fled from the house on foot in an unknown direction. There were no proceeds removed. There were no injuries reported.

Subject one is described as Hispanic, light skinned, blue jacket, baseball hat, blue jeans, black sneakers/white stripes. Subject two is described as light skinned Hispanic, ski hat/NY logo, camo vest, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
