AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detective are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who used a stolen credit card in Smithtown.

Smithtown, NY - November 4th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detective are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who used a stolen credit card in Smithtown.

A woman’s purse was stolen off the back of her chair while she was at John Harvard’s Restaurant, located at 2093 Smith Haven Plaza in Lake Grove, on October 3, 2014, at approximately 10:30 p.m. A debit card that was in the purse was used at 7-Eleven, located at 602 Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown. The woman who used the card was described as white or Hispanic, approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall with light brown hair.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
