Long Island has plenty of seasonal traditions but none are as fun or as unique as a holiday boat parade. We compiled some upcoming floating holiday fun coming up this year.
Amityville PBA Holiday Boat Parade - Holiday boat parade and fundraiser at Unqua Yacht Club. Funds will be donated to offset medical expenses incurred by the Eickelberg family whose son is battling leukemia. Boats will be judged for the best decorated at the event. 27th Annual Patchogue Christmas/Holiday Boat Parade - Begun 27 years ago and inspired by the Ft. Lauderdale event each year brings out thousands of families to ring in the Holiday season. On Saturday night before the parade you can preview all the decorated boats at multiple riverfront restaurants from 5-9pm. Fun for the whole family. 27th annual Christmas/Holiday parade on the beautiful Patchogue river starts at 6(ish). When: November 20, 2022. Where: Free public viewing at Sandspit Park (Davis Park Ferry Terminal) and FINS (Watch Hill terminal) as well as all the waterfront restaurants in Patchogue.
Huntington Lighthouse Boat Parade - A great way to “bring the light to the shore” while raising public awareness about the ongoing preservation efforts at the Lighthouse. There are many areas along the harbor (the boat ramp, behind the Halesite firehouse, Gold Star Beach, etc.) to view the parade. Prizes in ten categories: Best in Show, Best Sailboat, Best Powerboat, Best Corporate Boat, Best Theme Boat, Most Creative, Most Elegant, Most Outrageous, and Best Music & Animation and Free Style. Freeport's Nautical Mile of Lights Annual Boat Parade - Annual holiday nautical mile of lights boat parade sponsored by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce. When: Saturday, December 3, 2022. Where: Woodcleft Canal, Nautical Mile, Freeport.
Inlet Seafood Presents Holiday Party & Boat Parade -A benefit for the Montauk Food Pantry, this parade and party features a band, drinks, food and parade. Prizes are given out to the best decorated boat. Tickets are $100 each. When: December 10, 2022. Where: Inlet Seafood Restaurant, 541 E Lake Drive, Montauk.
