Centereach, NY - November 7th, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole a pocketbook from a woman at a Centereach store earlier this month.
A customer was shopping in Wal-Mart, located at 161 Centereach Mall, on November 4 at approximately 3:35 p.m. when a woman stole her pocketbook from the basket of the electric scooter the victim was using.
The suspect is described as a white woman with blonde hair and a thin build. She was wearing sunglasses, a red shirt and black pants. The suspect fled in a dark-colored Jeep.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
