Luis Saravia of Copiague, 46, has been convicted of sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Riverhead, NY - November 7, 2017 - A jury in Riverhead today convicted a 46-year old Copiague man on sex abuse in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child after a two day trial.
 
Luis Saravia of Copiague will be certified as a sex offender and faces up to seven years’ incarceration.
 
Saravia sexually abused a seven year old female in March of this year.  
 
The jury deliberated two hours before convicting the defendant of both counts in the indictment.
 
Judge John Toomey continued Saravia’s $75,000 bail and the defendant is incarcerated in the county jail.
