Lighting the Light in Montauk - the annual lighting of the Montauk Point Lighthouse! The festivities will begin at around dusk on Saturday, with the ever-popular lighting of the lighthouse and holiday music. Plus, warm up to hot cocoa and snacks. December Lighting of Malverne - When: Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 8am-5pm. Where: Malverne.
Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Bayard Cutting Arboretum - Everyone is welcome to participate in the annual Yuletide Celebration at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Join in a sing-a-long of traditional holiday carols while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Upon his arrival, Santa will light the tree for the 2022 holiday season. All activities will take place outside so dress accordingly. The Manor House will not be open. In the spirit of giving, please bring canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy for those in need in our community. When: Friday, December 2, 2022 at 5:30pm. Bellmore's 2022 Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Extravaganza - Join them for an old fashioned Christmas. Festivities will include: Christmas Tree lighting, visit from Santa, live Nativity, festive holiday music, horse and carriage rides, refreshments and more. When: Friday, December 2, 2022 at 6pm. Where: Bellmore Village Veterans' Memorial, corner of Bedford Avenue & Broadway/Pettit Avenue, Bellmore.
Brookhaven Town Christmas Tree Lighting - Kick off the holiday season at the Town of Brookhaven’s Annual Tree Lighting at the Holtsville Ecology Site. The event will feature costumed characters; complimentary candy canes and hot chocolate; musical entertainment; and a special appearance by Santa Claus, who will arrive by helicopter, and then assist with the countdown to light the tree. Event sponsors include Texas Roadhouse, Dairy Queen, Moe's, 7-Eleven, Eastern Helicopters, WALK 97.5, WBLI, Party 105.3, and My Country 96.1. When: Friday, December 2, 2022 at 6pm. Holiday Tree Lighting at the Shoppes - Join The Shoppes at East Wind for their annual holiday tree lighting! Stop by to put a letter in Santa's mailbox, enjoy live DJ and dancing, ride Rudolph on the carousel, and more holiday fun including holiday shopping. Santa arrives on a Fire Truck to light the tree and bring your camera to take a free photo with Santa. When: Saturday, December 3, 2022, 4 PM - 8 PM. Kings Park's 2022 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony - Holiday music selections followed by invocation and welcome remarks from the Chamber of Commerce. Hot Chocolate and cookies for all. Sag Harbor's 2022 Light Up the Harbor - Meet at the Windmill on Long Wharf at 5:00 pm for holiday music and to greet The Sag Harbor Historical Society’s carolers. The Historical Society’s candle-lit walk kicks off at 5pm, and will lead carolers to Long Wharf for the annual tree and windmill light-up tradition. When: Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 5pm. Village of Greenport Parade of Lights & Tree Lighting - The Christmas parade of lights is a special night for young and old in the Village of Greenport.
