Long Islanders Raise More Than $60,000 To Support Families Affected by Alzheimer’s Disease

People from across Long Island recently came together to raise more than $60,000 to help local families affected by Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s (AFA) annual “Alzheimer’s Walk in the Park.” The event, cohosted by the Town of Babylon, took place at the AFA-Town of Babylon Respite Care Relief Park at Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst.
Local residents, community leaders, student volunteers, and Town of Babylon employees were among those who participated in the walk to raise awareness and funds to help the more than 50,000 Long Islanders living with Alzheimer’s disease.
