Town of Babylon Councilman Anthony Manetta, in collaboration with the Sons of Italy Constantino Brumidi Lodge, recently orchestrated the highly successful 6th annual Pasta and Sauce Food Drive. This yearly initiative has become a staple in supporting the Town of Babylon Food Pantry.
The 2023 Pasta and Sauce Drive achieved remarkable success, amassing a record-breaking collection of over 1,000 pounds of pasta and hundreds of jars of sauce. Councilman Manetta, accompanied by Department of Human Services Commissioner Traci Fonville and Deputy Commissioner Marcus Duffin, graciously accepted these generous donations at the Town Food Pantry, situated at 1 Commerce Boulevard in Amityville.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Town of Babylon, Councilman Manetta extended sincere thanks to businesses, organizations, and residents for contributing to the most successful pasta and sauce drive to date. He remarked, "The Town of Babylon Food Pantry is an invaluable resource to our community, and I am grateful to all who have helped keep their shelves stocked."
Councilman Manetta also extended special appreciation to the Babylon Public Library, Lindenhurst Memorial Library, Constantino Brumidi Lodge 2211, and Belfast Gastropub, all of whom played integral roles in ensuring the success of this year's drive.
