Fire Departments Respond to Serious Blaze at Baldwin Residence; Investigation Ongoing

The Arson / Bomb Squad is investigating a residential house fire that occurred on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 5:45 am in Baldwin.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct police responded to a 911 call for a Bertha Drive residential house fire. 
 
Upon arrival, First Precinct police observed flames coming from the southwest corner of the home. The Baldwin and Freeport Fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. The fire caused damage extensive to the home. 
 
All occupants were out of the house during the fire. No injuries were reported. 
 
The Nassau County Fire Marshall and the Nassau County Police Arson / Bomb Squad reported to the scene. The cause of the fire is undetermined and the investigation is ongoing.
