EGC Founder Ernie Canadeo Inducted into LI Business Hall of Fame
Ernie Canadeo, Founder and Chairman of The EGC Group in Melville, NY, was recently honored as an inductee into the Long Island Business News Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame ceremony and awards presentation was held at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. A total of 15 honorees were selected in collaboration with a panel of business leaders from Hofstra University, which also served as the “Presenting Sponsor.” The “Awards Sponsor” was Catholic Health. Those selected for the Hall of Fame excel not only in business but in their contributions to the region.
“I am humbled and honored to be inducted into the Long Island Business Hall of Fame for my 40 years of service to the Long Island business community,” Canadeo said. “It has been my pleasure to lead both EGC Group and the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame while serving as trustee for over 20 nonprofit boards. I am grateful to the many coworkers, clients, vendors and friends who have supported me for the benefit of Long Island.”
In accepting his award, Ernie spoke about giving back to the Long Island community where he has lived and worked his entire life, his board service for over 20 not for profits, and thanked the professionals he has worked for the past 40 years at EGC, his wife Cathy and family, and his colleagues at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame, where is he currently Chairman.
“The 2024 Hall of Fame members are outstanding leaders,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, Managing Director of BridgeTower Media/Long Island Business News “What they focus their attention on really matters; what they say is important; and what they do makes a difference for many on Long Island and beyond. Their commitment to excellence through personal achievement, mentoring and community awareness and action is impressive. We at Long Island Business News congratulate this year’s Hall of Fame inductees.”
