Nassau County, NY - November 12, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and former United States Olympic Coach and Korean-American Businessman Grand Master Yeon Hwan Park today announced that the 2015 New York Open Taekwondo Championships and Korean Cultural Festival - held on Saturday, October 17th at Nassau County’s Mitchel Athletic Complex – raised $4,000 for The Girl Scouts of Nassau County.

“I am grateful to Grand Master Y.H. Park for his continued generosity in helping our youth,” said County Executive Mangano. “The Girl Scouts of Nassau County builds courage, confidence, and character while making our community and the world a better place.”

Proceeds from prior tournaments have benefited The Safe Center LI, North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center and the Hurricane Recovery Fund.
