NCPD: Roosevelt Woman Busted for Driving Drunk with 4 Year-Old Daughter in Vehicle

Blanca Garcia Arriaga, 27, was observed by officers driving erratically; she was stopped and it was determined that she was DWI, according to reports.

NCPD reports the arrest of a Blanca Garcia Arriaga of Roosevelt, 27, for DWI (Leandra's Law) on Saturday, November 11.

Albany, NY - November 13, 2017 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Roosevelt woman for Driving While Intoxicated which occurred on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:17 AM in Uniondale.
 
According to Police, the defendant Blanca Garcia Arriaga, 27, was observed by officers driving a 2006 Honda erratically on Argyle Ave. Her vehicle was stopped by officers and it was determined by officers that she was drinking and was intoxicated. 
 
Inside the defendants vehicle was her 4 year old daughter. Garcia Arriaga’s daughter was picked up at scene by the child’s uncle who took custody of her.
 
The defendant is charged with driving while Intoxicated, Aggravated driving while intoxicated (child under 15), Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Operating a Motor Vehicle .08 of 1% or more Alcohol in Blood. Garcia Arriaga was also charged numerous other Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations. She was arraigned on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
