AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Inwood, NY - November 14th, 2014 - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of two men on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 3:52 p.m. in Inwood.

According to detectives, while on patrol on Wanser Avenue, two Bureau of Special Operations officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop of a 2011 Nissan Altima being driven by defendant Joshua Lindsay, 25 of Whitehouse Road, Roosevelt. During the investigation the passenger, Marcell Haynes (pictured right), 19 of Clinton Avenue, Inwood was observed to be in possession of a fully loaded .38 caliber Smith and Wesson hand gun. The officers also observed a small clear bag of marijuana in the vehicle. Both defendants were placed under arrest without incident.

Lindsay is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, along with multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket and will appear in First District Court on December 4, 2014.

Haynes is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, November 14, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
