Garden City, NY - November 17, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, the United States Marines, Santa and teachers and students of Stewart and Stratford Avenue Elementary Schools of Garden City officially kicked off the Roosevelt Field Mall Toys for Tots Annual Drive. County Executive Mangano thanked Simon Malls for opening their doors and allowing the program to continue and thrive in our community. County Executive Mangano commended Ret. Major Chuck Kilbride for leading the United States Marines in their tireless efforts of bringing joy to little girls and boys with toys for the holidays and thanked the children of Stewart and Stratford Avenue Elementary Schools for their very generous toy donation.

Toys for Tots Collection Boxes are located in every County office building until December 20th, as well as in the Roosevelt Field Mall. County Executive Mangano encourages residents to donate a new un-wrapped toy as “Toys for Tots isn’t just about toys…it’s about sending a message of hope to less fortunate children who otherwise would not be receiving presents this holiday season.”
