UJA-Federation of New York’s Families Helping Families Event Assembled and Delivered Thanksgiving Baskets for Families, Homebound Seniors And Veteran
Syosset, NY - November 21, 2016 - Dozens of child and parent volunteers gathered to assemble and deliver Thanksgiving baskets for needy families, homebound seniors and veterans at UJA-Federation of New York’s New Leadership Campaign and Connections Families Helping Families event in Syosset. The baskets brought joy and a real Thanksgiving to Long Islanders receiving services from UJA-Federation beneficiary agencies.

Participating agencies include Hatzilu Rescue Organization, The Lend a Hand Project, Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center; Rina Shkolnik Kosher Food Pantry at the Marion & Aaron Gural Jewish Community Center, the Samuel Field Y, and the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center. Event chairs included Jennifer Pravato and Debi Yadegari, and Jamie Silverman, Eddie Zuckerbrot and Drew Donner served as Teen Chairs.
