Lazy Lobster Opens New Spot in Massapequa Park

Written by Lon Cohen  |  18. November 2022

A staple in East Rockaway, the Lazy Lobster has opened a second location on Long Island. While the East Rockaway restaurant has already closed for the season, if you’re craving their seaside munchies then head over to the (mostly) takeout spot in Massapequa Park.

A smaller version of their other locale, don’t worry, the menu is the same. Grab their famous lobster rolls, fish tacos, or po’ boys. They’re also serving up their famous 48-hour wings.

Try the Bayou Lobster Roll, made with a cajun honey butter and fresh chives. They also have a variety of soups for the season, including Steakhouse Chili, Manhattan Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, New England Clam Chowder, Shrimp and Corn Chowder, Shrimp Sausage Gumbo, and Loaded Baked Potato.

On Google, Stephanie gave it five stars.

“We went to the Lazy Lobster after hearing about it from neighbors and will be life long customers,” she wrote. “I got the Daily Special, which was the Connecticut Lobster Roll (warm) with Cajun Sauce. Hands down, the BEST lobster roll I’ve ever had. The seasoning was beyond perfection. The lobster was fresh. Even the French fries were amazing — thin fries, crispy and salty (as they should be).”

John said it was excellent.

“Had a lobster roll for lunch then came back for dinner with my wife,” he wrote. “Would definitely recommend.”

Location: 5089 Merrick Rd, Massapequa Park, (516) 308-4742.
